What is that in cam #2......there is a hand on it?

Yeah, it'd been giving me hell for a while now so I think it's toast :P Particularly the PTZ part of it.
I've been looking at new cams today and I'm torn between getting a mediocre PTZ cam I can afford now ($150-200, image quality on par with the central cam), or waiting a while until I can get a good cam with zoom ($350-600). Decisions, decisions...
Theoretically, if the right software is written for them, any cams can be. At first, the USB ones (like what I had, the QuickCam Orbit) could not be, until someone wrote an interface to connect with the Logitech drivers over the web.
However, the network cameras are definitely always accessible to control over the web and while they're much more expensive for a good image quality, they have a lot more flexibility and features.
