Hi, I am new. I read about this in an article. So, you have captured you entire life since you were 15 on here? Wow, what a concept! Pretty cool site, I like it.

Welcome! Well, not quite...

Welcome!

Well, not quite... since I was 18-19, but I've posted photos and other things from my childhood and earlier teenage years :)

I'm glad you like the site! It's a constant work in progress. Kick back and stay a while...

Hi Steph

I was doing a google search for webcams, and your site came up. Wow, looks like you know html very well from the looks of everything here. My wife and I run a homecam site with nine cams 24/7 at:
http://www.frontiernet.net/~tchomecam

Although we are both novices at html, we're slowly learning it. Maybe thats what makes all of this computer stuff so much fun.

Have a great day
Dan :)

Hi Dan! Nice to see another cam junkie :)

*currently playing a game of spot-the-kitty*

Looks like you're using network cameras? May I ask a little more about your setup?

TC HomeCam Setup

Hi Steph:

Here it goes:
Two computers; one running windows 2000 and the other running windows XP. Five of the webcams are on the 2000 machine, and the other four are on the XP machine.

The webcams are; (2)Logitech Pro4000's, (2)Creative Labs "Live", and (5)Creative Labs Ultra NX's. All of them are just USB webcams if you can believe that.

The webcam snapshot software is called; ConquerCam. It's really cheap, just $10 dollars to register it. Before that we tried SpyCam by Bill Oatman, and also WebCam32. The ConquerCam software lets us run multiple instances of the same program for each one of the webcams without a conflict.
As for the connetion; just using a DSL phoneline and FTP'ing the webcam shapshots upto the ISP.

Trust me, I know next to nothing about computers and was able to get this webcam experiment up and going after a short while :)
Lots of messing around to see what worked and what didn't mostly. *lol*.

Anyway; that gives you an idea of how we put together the TC HomeCam Site.

P.S. I need help with HTML though..

Always,
Dan :)
