Looky what we made!

It turned out quite well :D I didn't know you could just buy the little inari pods in a can... mmmm.
Avocado is my new friend.
PS. Anyone know what this tree is and what kind of water/light it needs?

If you need more tips, let me know. My wife's learned everything from my mom. Next attempt, try finding some freshwater eel or raw tuna.
Hey thanks! That's about the best compliment a girl could get ;)
Small problem though... I really don't like fish. I've ordered and liked spicy tuna... but I haven't found much else non-veggie that I like so far. I'm working on it :) I keep trying the stuff that Chris orders.
looks good Steph!
this is NWJ by the way. WOW your site looks freagin fantastic. I haven't been online much and so it's been a while since I've clicked over :)
anyway, someone emailed me and pointed me in your direction about some Ikea gift cards I was selling. Not sure why, but if you were interested let me know. I would just email this to you but I had to express my awe, I love the design. Oh, and the sushi :D
I'm not a big fan of fish either. I've heard people doing shredded chicken and turkey sushi, which from what I heard is really good. Although of course the chicken and turkey has to be cooked.
I've tried a few kinds like that and don't *dislike* it, but quite honestly, I LOVE veggie sushi (tempura rolls, tamago, inari, avocado, cucumber, carrots, sweet potato, etc etc) and it seems a little silly to work so hard to have it with meat in it :)
looks tasty!
steph, have you tried shrimp tempura sushi yet? it's pretty much the only seafood sushi i've been able to get my fiance to willingly eat so far, probably because the tempura coating helps mask the seafoody flavor a bit.
I have. I don't like shrimp either :( It's more of a texture thing with seafood I think. I keep trying it though.
and this one looks pretty good for being your first try... the plant: yes shadow, shadows...
Did you make California roles? They use a lot of avacado. Myself, love seafood, anything that comes out of the water I'll eat if it doesn't get me first. if you iked spicy tuna, try some variities of salmon. Also very good spiced or blackened.
No California rolls. I'll eat 'em but again I just seem to prefer the veggie :)
I think I had some kind of spicy salmon that I liked too...
Steph, I guess your plant could be a Dracaena.
Here you can find more:

Your variety seems the "deremensis":

All you have to do is to wait 5,000 years to see if it comes like this one:

What kind of plant?
It is a corn plant, doesn't it remind you of a stark of corn?
Filtered light, to much and it burns the leaves. If it is in a large pot water once a week, but just until the soil is moist.
It doesn't like to be wet, throw a few coffee grounds in every couple of months. As it grows you may have to stake it.
Don't forget to name it, they do better when you talk to them.
