And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you make sure you're not using a 16 volt Netgear power adapter on a camera expecting 12 volts.

*sigh* There goes a $350 cam.

*sniff* You will be missed.. you were a good cam, a nice cam... no, wait, you were CFH -- Cam From Hell! I hated you! You took months to get working. You wouldn't let me talk to the Canadian number about you, forcing Spaz to call from the U.S. You gave him gray hair! You wouldn't FTP! You had undocumented features that were discovered months too late! You caused me to go on a screaming rampage this week!

But I still wish you hadn't died :( You lived over my computer room door, and then rested calmly beside the exit sign. And you were destined to be happily clamped to the railing here until you... went to a better place.

poor cam, ye will be missed.

poor cam, ye will be missed. never again shall your lens look upon thy nekkid steph and all her merriments.

kind of like my cellphone

I had a great cellphone that died yesterday when I slipped and fell at my gf's house in a monsoon like rainstorm. "Severely bruised" my kneecap according to the doctor and destroyed the phone. Was an amazing phone. I think I dropped one call in the two years I had it. Verizon has great service, but they are a pain in the butt to get a new phone from. Have to wait until Thursday to get one shipped to me. I gave the phone a Viking Funeral. I live on an island after all. The knee is still killing me and the new gf (Who is Canadian..btw)thinks I am the worst patient in the history of medicine. I'm not that bad....I think.....Also saw Beerfest last night, funny as hell. It's the randomness of the humor that is the key to it.

Funeral Arrangements?

Have you made funeral arrangements for your beloved cam?
It looks so peaceful laying there, resting at last. You have my deepest sympathy.

Tech support ?

It probably worked for a while an then died, right ? Might just be a (less then on dollar) power regulator that died. Is there no one you know that could try to fix it ? For a $350,- camera it might be worth the try...

Yeah, Chris is taking a look

Yeah, Chris is taking a look at it. If there's anyone else out there who is electronically/camera-minded and wants to give it a shot...
