Thunderbird Cached Connections
Thunderbird for the U3 (by PortableApps)
Windows XP
3 e-mail accounts
"Cached connections" set to 1 on each
Courier IMAP set to allow 6 connections
Sending through a windows proxy server (while at work).
I get the stupid "you have exceeded the number of cached connections allowed" error immediately upon start up and randomly during the course of the day.
Is there a way to turn *OFF* the cached connections? (Setting to 0 (zero) does not do it, it defaults back to 5).
I've tried asking in the Mozillazine forums, but I've gotten no reply, and the only information in the KB there says to lower the settings (which I've already done).
Are there U3 forums or
Are there U3 forums or something you could go to for help?
You're using a version built to be used on a USB drive, and I'd guess that is causing your inability to save the setting. That, and it makes me think that they've dealt with this problem before. So you might want to try asking them.
Saved setting?
Inability to save what setting?
The "connection=0" setting isn't allowed by TBird at all (at least via the GUI) I've tried the same thing on my standard version and it resets to "5".
I've asked about this in the MozillaZine forums, but have gotten no response.
