"Runaway"

Can anybody help me remember who recorded that song "Runaway" from the 80's? It was like a disco/pop song (but it was pretty cool anyway lol) that had words like "Sometimes I feel I want to runaway, I need to getaway..." If you can understand my attempt at conveying the lyrics and beat there, then you're probably thinking of the same song...... It's driving me nuts that I can't think of who did it, and all the searches I try give me like a million songs with "runaway" in the title, but not the one I'm thinking of.... ?

I thought I knew that one,

I thought I knew that one, turns out I'm thinking of Aerosmiths "Janies got a gun". Then I thought, "ooh, maybe its that other one" but turns out I was thinking of Fly Away by Lennie Kravitz.

In summary, I'm not damn help whatsoever.

Sometimes I feel I need to (bap bap) run away,
I've got to (bap bap) get away from the pain that you're....

"Runaway" was sung by Del Shannon

I seem to recall a song called Runaway sung by Del Shannon and it was out possibly in the late 60's or early 70's. In the song, he sings: "....I feel the pain.....run run runaway...."

I have a question:
Now that Kazaa Lite is no longer available, can someone please suggest a few sites from which one can find old songs like Runaway that are free to download. Thanks.

Kazaa Lite is no longer

Kazaa Lite is no longer available? Jesus Christ, how long have I been out of it, and where oh where will I get my free musical inspiration now?

Re: Kazaa Lite - I try to be helpful to one person & then I ask a question & I get Burned! Ouch! You may be her "cousin" however it would be "nice" if you were a more positive and helpful person like STEPH. Message to STEPH: we miss the "visual contact" with you and updated "pics".

Kerry, CuddleMonster was not

Kerry, CuddleMonster was not burning you, she was making a comment about how she did not know about Kazaa Lite. Take a step back and re-read what she has written. Burning, trust me, is something very, very, very different. And you will become use to it here unless you take the time to read and understand the context of what a person is saying. Once you have done so you may wish to appologize to her for jumping to conclusions.

Whoooaaaaa Nelly... err,

Whoooaaaaa Nelly... err, Kerry. I was actually just genuinely surprised that Kazaa Lite is no more. I was half-mocking myself for being so out of it (I now live in a very small town which barely has a grocery store... I used to live in Toronto) that I don't even know where to download music for inspiration anymore (I'm a musician, these things can be very important to artistic types). I was in no way shape or form insulting you or making fun of you, or whatever. Heheh, believe me, you'd know if I was burning you. That being said, as everyone already replied, if you get to know me I'm really quite a positive, quirky, funloving person ;P

Don't you mean.. "wtf"?

Don't you mean.. "wtf"? :)

Don't worry kerry, I'll be back. Graduating, living out of a suitcase at various houses with kids, relocating to another country, revamping my sister's entire digital existence... it hasn't been easy for me to get on cam or post much. I'll be in California Saturday night though!

That's it?

How about an admission that you were maybe a little testy in response to cuddlemonster's comment?

And by a little testy, I mean just about as irritable as a menstruating female grizzly bear who just watched her cubs get eaten by a 100-foot-tall mutant salmon. That's assuming bears can appreciate some form of irony, of course...

OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!! BURN!!!!!!!
