I find it astounding that a young lady reveals her life, thoughts, and emotions, and the debate surrounds not the conduct, not implication of the conduct, not trying to understand, not simple appreciation, not empathy, or any of the like. But in fact the debate surrounds what label to ascribe to the conduct.

Drac ol'buddy, what difference does the label make? Steph has never lied about, or hidden who she is, in fact quite the opposite. If she was called StephTheGeek, or MaryTheGeek, would it make any difference as to who she is ?

Perhaps this helps define the difference between friends and acquaintances. Acquaintances define who I am based on my labels of job, marital status, assumed preferences, skin colour, religion, car, clothes, address. Friends define me based on their knowledge of my emotions, reactions, their trust in me with their emotions, and the dignity that I give to their being their trueselves.
