Huh.. I decided to see if I could see my street. I can, unfortunately they have misnamed the street it connects to. Not like a misspelling or something, they have changed "Clarkston Road" into "Taybridge Drive", a street I have never even heard of... Odd.

I use maps a lot. Google street maps are too slow, but it's nice to switch to the aerial photos by clicking one button. Usually I'll use something like mapblast or mapquest for the streets, and terraserver for topos and aerial photos. I have occasionally used Google, when I want to find a terrain feature, and I know an address near to it, or v-v.

I find google maps infinitely more accurate/user-friendly than mapquest. I've always hated mapquest.

If you follow Google Maps to get to my parents' house, you'll end up driving off a 15-foot ledge and landing nose-first on a train tracks.

:)

There is not, nor has there ever been a road where they say there is one.

From Tabitha:

Google Earth. A program which lets you zoomin alot smoother than the google map.. and it displays the earth as a sphere.. and not as the flat thingy it is on maps.

You can rotate the earth and your viewing angle and stuff.. very funny to play with for a while.

Not only can I see my house on that Google Earth program, I know when the picture was taken. Weird.
