Productive Weekend

Some weekends you just feel like you didnt get anything done, but not this one. I felt like I was in super-ben mode.

1 - Dropped my wife off at Yoga
2 - Went to the gym
3 - Saw John Kerry at University of Texas talkin about Childrens Healthcare
    4 - Ate Lunch
5 - Finished 3 out of 6 projects for a class I'm way behind in
6 - Hung out with my wife
7 - Hung out with my wife's family and her cousin on leave from the navy
    8 - Slept
    9 - Woke up
10 - Changed the transmission fluid in my Scooter
11 - Put new fancy batteries in my ex-dead electric lawnmower
12 - Finished another project for my class
    13 - Lounged

Damn good weekend. Next weekend I predict beer and couch :-)

I filed an extension for taxes (lost a W-2), played some Guild Wars beta, finally got into a local D&D group, all on top of those bloody graveyard shifts. Yeah, this particular weekend was productive for me as well.

My weekend was also productive:

Studied for my 2 exams this week (but only a little)
Drank copious amounts of alcohol
Worked out
Watched The Woodsman
Did laundry
E-mailed prohosted.net tech support guy to bitch about serious site problems that have been compounding for several months, during which time no one seemed to care that we existed... grrr...
Did dishes
Slept
Recorded 2 jazz tracks for our demo in 6.5 hours
Prepared for open jam night tonight at Revival

Have you discovered that they don't respond to trouble tickets? I resubmitted one after a couple of weeks and it *still* wasn't looked at.

yeah, we originally tried trouble tickets to no avail. Then we finally got a hold of that Kris Borodiansky guy via e-mail. I also have his phone number. We've been calling and e-mailing for a few weeks now, so this last message I sent clearly stated that there's not gonna be any more fucking around. We need the problems fixed immediately and permanently.

Having said that, I understand small problems with site access, occasional interruptions in service etc., but this was every day not being able to access e-mail and control panel. Most days having trouble getting to the site becuase it "could not be found. Please check the name...". SOOOOOO infuriating. In this e-mail I mentioned that Steph was my cousin, so hopefully they'll pay a little more attention to us

Thanks. We may be switching as soon as I can get the bastards to get the control panel up and running... yet again. God this stuff makes me so angry. It's not enough that we're paying them to keep the site and account running. We have to hound them about it, just for good measure. And if we complain about something, it's like we get blacklisted, no matter how eloquently and professionally we write about it. It's not like I went in there and said "Get off your ass motherfucker, and fix our fucking site or I'll ram my foot right through your colon". I was polite, yet firm. The site is our business, we're incurring a loss of income, we need to get these problems fixed asap. Please help us to do this, etc. etc.

Sunday: Woke at 11:00 (again), cleaned the splatter-filled microwave, Did 4 loads of laundry, 2 of which are going away forever (spring cleaning!)

(Laughs) My main disagreement with the post is that he thought he could scalp Snoop Dogg tickets. (Just kidding)

well the snoop tickets were only $10 for season lift ticket holders (me) but we tried to buy them too late -- figured we could buy them for $20 somewhere but they were going for $60....ridiculous, i won't pay that for anyone, and I hate rap! Just figured a small concert setting would still be cool.

I sincerely hope that Marg is much more satisfied with her current host. I rather like my colon to be free of angy women's feet. :D

"No," I told her. ''There are no heroes."
She said nothing.
''There are only human beings," I told her.
