Boxing Day fun in the Northland

Well, I just got back to Long Island from Canada. 11 hour drive and 20 degree (F) difference. Had a White Boxing Day (which I did in Buffalo, and like all the Buffalodians, I hid while the Canadians cross-border returned things). It was funny seeing all the cars with New York License plates in their driveways and the Ontario and Quebec ones were motoring down Main Street like Armageddon was coming on Dec. 27th. My brother's kids and I just played sneaker hockey all day, (the little toads piled on their Goalie/Uncle Johnny and scored on me like Sid Crosby hopped up on Red Bull!)
Happy Holidays, eh!

New Word of the Day

Well, that's what they call themselves..lol....I guess "Buffaloites" is too Biblical. And being from the "Queen City of the Great Lakes" originally, Buffalodian kind of fits our nature. You have to be a bit goofy to live in a place where the city's unofficial motto is "It ain't snowin' until you can't see the cars." Now I live near New York and the motto is not printable in a family friendly format.

Buff Lodians? I guess some

Buff Lodians?

I guess some of the HS wrestlers qualify, but being an area that has a lot of dairy industry, most of us Lodians aren't that buff.
